MISSO wants to thank all those who ran for officer positions for our elections last Tuesday. All our candidates made excellent presentations which forced all of our attendees to make difficult decisions on who would be next semesters’ officers. Fall 2011 Semester Banquet

As our semester comes to a close, it is the time for the end-of-semester banquet!

This semester, our banquet will be held at Crowne Plaza Houston Northwest Brookhollow on Friday, December 2nd, 2011 from 7:00pm-10pm. We will have the option of: Beverages: water/tea/coffee or a cash bar for drinks, rolls and butter, choice of house or caesar salad, chicken or vegetarian, and dessert. Punch and finger foods will be available.

At our banquet, we will be handing out Member Awards, Graduation Stoles, new Officer polos and nametags, as well as a free-raffle to attendees! Pre-sale ticket prices are $15/member and $20/non-member. At the door, prices will be $20/member and $25/non-member. There is a limited number of tickets available so don’t wait to get your tickets! 2011 Orientation

To all our new MIS majors and returning members, MISSO will be having its orientation on Tuesday, September 6th, 2011 at 6:30PM – 8:30PM in the KIVA Room in Farish Hall (Room 101). If you are interested in becoming a member or have friends who are interested, then come out and invite everyone! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about your Fall 2011 Officers, connect with other members in our organization, and experience MISSO with a fresh start. Free food and refreshments are provided, as always.
