HackMISSO is a hackathon/case competition that allows students to work on their collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving skills through solving different cases created by our company sponsors which emulate real-world experiences in the IT industry.

All currently enrolled students at the University of Houston are eligible to participate in HackMISSO. Non-MISSO participants need to pay $5 entry fee to join.

We definitely encourage everyone to join with or without a team. We will help assigning you to a team if you could not find one. With that being said, it would be much more memorable, and fun if you could join and try to win the hackathon with your friends ^^.

• From Friday, April 7th @ 6:00 PM to Sunday, April 9th @ 7:30 PM for the Event.
  • Friday, April 7th @6:00 PM (Kickoff Meeting)
  • Sunday, April 9th @11:59AM (Submission Deadline)
  • Sunday, April 9th @5:00PM (Virtual Presentation)
• From 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM for the in-person Closing Ceremony

The Hackathon will be hosted virtually on Discord & Zoom. And the Closing Ceremony will be hosted in-person on UH Campus (Location TBD)
