Get Involved! Join A Committee!
One of the many ways MISSO interacts with it’s members is through the various Committees it provides. Many of the MISSO officers will have committee members to work alongside them throughout the semester. Committee members play a big part in helping the officers with planning and preparing for MISSO’s different events. This is a great opportunity for anyone hoping to become a future officer, giving each member an insight of the different officer positions. Below is a list of committee positions available with a short description. Please fill out the forms below and choose the committees that you would like to be a part of for Fall 2020.
(There is no limit to the number of committees a member is allowed to join-feel free to join them ALL!)
Requirements: Able to prepare and assist for volunteering, fundraising, and operation related events as needed.

Expectations: The Operations Committee combines the different functions of Operations, Fundraising, and Public Relations. Supporting our local communities is crucial during these challenging times. Thus, the committee members may be asked to assist in preparing volunteering, fundraising activities, and other organization-wide events (while adhering to social distancing guidelines). Not only will members get a sneak peek at the behind the scenes of what our officers do, but this is also a great opportunity for members to interact through committee-exclusive networking events, such as game nights and movie nights!

Requirements:Â Completion or Current Enrollment in MIS 3370, 3371, or 3376

Expectations:Â As a part of the Education Committee a member is expected to act in support of the education officer. A member of the committee may be asked to keep up to date information on current course topics as well as acting as a support during workshops as needed per the organization and/or the education officer. This is an opportunity for any member who would like to further their current understandings of upper level MIS courses by developing leadership and responsibility through assisting students with course materials.

Requirements:Â Able to assist and help with MISSO website and signing members in at each event when available.

Expectations:Â As a part of the Technology Committee, members are expected to act in support of the technology officer. A member of the committee may be asked to assist in signing members into events and other tasks related to the technology officer position. This is an opportunity for any member who would like to further their current understandings of the Technology officer's tasks by developing technical skills needed to assist the organization. This committee is highly recommended for those who are interested in the technology officer position.

Requirements:Â Able to assist the Professional Development Officer with their duties. Members need to be able to meet deadlines, summarize details effectively, and also interpret professional ideas. Two documents are required: the sample resume (which can be downloaded here) that has been corrected, and your own resume.

Expectations:Â Under the guidance of the Professional Development Officer, Professional Development Committee members will evaluate and provide feedback on resumes submitted for review.
